The Orchard Retreat – Luxury Holiday Development Underway
September 2018 – New Development Starts at Andrewshayes
Anyone who has been visiting Andrewshayes for a few years will know that we like to keep updating and improving the park. Frustratingly the layout of the park has meant that expansion has, until now, not been available to us.
However, after successfully using our Orchard Field for summer camping without any issues for a number of years, we are delighted that planning permission has been granted to develop that field.
What are the plans?
We have seen over the last few years the huge rise in demand for luxury accommodation. More and more people are realising that a UK holiday and especially short breaks really can be a great option.
With that in mind we have planned an exclusive development of 10 luxury lodge style caravans. These will only be available to rent. Spacious 2 or 3 bedroomed lodges, with their own decking and lovely countryside views will be well spaced in The Orchard. Half of the caravans will have private hot tubs – another item that demand has rocketed for.
Work in progress
We are very pleased that the weather this Autumn has been on our side. In early September we brought in a digger and we have made great progress already.
Pitches have been levelled waiting for concrete bases to be laid and trenches dug for the utilities. We are even making allowance for piped gas and internet connections to each lodge.

What will they look like?
We spent some time researching the type of unit that we wanted within the constraints of the planning permission. In the end we have gone with a local firm based in Dorset – Regal Holiday Homes.
The lovely Symphony unit has a beautiful light and spacious interior with French doors that will open out onto a large decking area.
Combined with a modern design, free standing furniture as well as breakfast bar between the kitchen and the lounge, we think anyone choosing to hire one of these holiday lodges will be impressed.
When will they be ready to hire?
Our aim is to have 7 caravans in place for hire from Easter 2019. However, like any big development that is subject to change. We are hoping the fine weather will stay on our side and that all the groundwork and landscaping will progress according to our time plans.
