River Cottage Events & Courses

River Cottage HQ runs a wide variety of day and evening events where visitors can explore, eat, debate and learn about the very best home-grown and seasonal food.

Courses and events are hosted by experts in their field. River Cottage HQ is called Park Farm and is their base for running courses and events inspired by the philosophy of the original River Cottage – ranging from a evening dining and entertainment, through to courses in foraging, curing, gardening, bread making, butchery and more.

The River Cottage Canteen and Deli local produce store is located in the centre of Axminster, in Trinity Square which is just 3 miles from Andrewshayes. It’s a superb place where you can taste and buy the best West Country produce.

The River Cottage team work with a wonderful collection of local and organic food & drink producers from the South West to make available a wide selection of the very best local and seasonal provisions including milk, eggs, bread, meat, poultry, beers and wines.

The store and canteen are open every day from Mon to Saturday at 9 am (Sunday 10am) until  5 pm for breakfasts, lunches or just coffee and cake.

For evening meals it is open Tuesday to Saturday and meals are served from 6pm -9pm staying open until 11pm with entertainment on some nights. Booking is advisable so please check their website for more details.

The Canteen offers locally-sourced seasonal food – from breakfast rolls through to lunches, tea and cakes and evening meals.
